Meet your coach — Michaëlle Maspero
Hi, I'm Michaëlle. I'm a native French speaker and the coach behind Evolingua. I've spent years helping adults from all over the world feel comfortable speaking French — beginners taking their first steps, intermediates pushing through the dreaded "plateau", and advanced speakers polishing their fluency for work or life abroad.
I work one-on-one because I believe a real conversation, with a real person who listens carefully, is the fastest way to make French stick. Group classes have their place — but if you want to actually speak more, you need more time speaking, and that's what 1-on-1 gives you.
The Evolingua approach
Every lesson is built around three principles:
- You speak first, you speak most. The lesson is your time on the court. I'm the coach on the sideline — guiding, correcting, encouraging — not the lecturer at the front.
- Real life over textbook scenarios. We talk about your week, your work, your trip, the article you read this morning. Vocabulary you actually use is vocabulary you actually remember.
- Kind, structured corrections. Confidence is fragile when you're learning a language. I correct precisely and warmly, in the moment, and write it down for you afterwards.
Who I work with
Adult learners (16+) at every CEFR level from A1 to C1. Many of my students are professionals, expats, or travellers — but anyone with a genuine interest in speaking French is welcome. Lessons are in English, French, or a comfortable mix while you build up.
Where Evolingua is based
Evolingua is fully online — your coach is in France, you're wherever you want to be. All you need is a quiet spot, a webcam and a stable internet connection. Lessons run on Zoom or Google Meet, whichever you prefer.
